Hollywood stars Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart were escorted away from Sir Elton John's post-Oscars party in the back of a police car.The cute couple was forced to ask for a little assistance from Los Angeles California's finest when the chauffeur-driven car they arrived at the party in failed to show up for the journey home. A party guest tells PlanetGossip, "They were standing outside waiting for their car to pick them up. They called and called and called the car, but the driver never showed up."So the police stepped in to offer the pair a lift home.The party insider adds, "Harrison and Calista accepted and were taken home in the back of a squad car."A police representative reveals the couple was driven less than a mile to the Sunset Tower hotel to visit friends.
Newly single Pink was so determined to save her failing marriage that she booked a romantic getaway for husband Carey Hart and herself just before announcing they had broken up.The singer went public with the latest celebrity marriage split last week, even though she had just booked a getaway in Oahu, Hawaii. An insider tells In Touch Weekly magazine, "She recently booked a seven-day vacation at The Kahala Hotel and Resort in Honolulu for the week of February 28."She asked for their most romantic beachfront suite."But Pink, 28, canceled the $3,000-a-night retreat with Carey.Meanwhile, a dancer on the singer's summer 2007 tour tells the publication Pink has been far from happy about her marriage for some time.And another friend adds, "They started talking divorce within a few months of their wedding and then they surprised everyone by deciding to work it out instead. But their split surprised no one."Pink, real name Alecia Moore, and Carey were married in January, 2006, in Costa Rica.
Television star Mischa Barton is going be charged with drunk driving and possession of marijuana following her December 27 arrest in West Hollywood.The Los Angeles California District Attorney's office announced the news on Tuesday.Barton was pulled over by traffic cops after they reportedly spotted the vehicle she was driving "straddling two lanes of traffic." The police report also suggests the actress failed to signal when making a turn. Police determined the former "The O.C." star was driving without a valid license and under the influence of alcohol.She was released on bail and has since apologized for her actions.She stated she was wrong to attempt to drive home after partying with pals. The 21-year-old has confessed she didn't have a driver's license because she rarely gets behind the wheel.She said, "I'm really disappointed in myself. I'm not perfect and I don't intend to do anything this stupid again."
Sexy Sharon Stone is being hammered by animal rights campaigners for wearing a broach made from a rat’s foot to Sir Elton John’s post-Oscars party last night. The Hollywood star picked up the ‘lucky’ charm after hearing it was an item Scotsmen wore on their wedding day. But her choice of accessory has left activists at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) pissed off. In a mean attack on Stone for her fashion accessories, PETA campaigners said: Maybe Sharon, passed over by the Academy yet again, was jealous of Ratatouille’s Oscar win and thought a rodent paw might go with her haggard look. "Her accessories these days are as dead as her career." Stone has previously come under attack by PETA members for her love of fur.
Elton John's boyfriend David Furnish is going to re-release ELTON JOHN: TANTRUMS AND TIARAS, because he wants to air the unseen footage. The movie maker took around 140 hours of film for the 1996 documentary on the British singer, and is keen to show the public more behind-the-scenes shots of John’s life. He says, "We’re re-releasing it, because there are 140 hours of footage, most of which we didn’t show." And Furnish adds the experience was the most nerve-wracking project he has ever worked on, despite being in a relationship with the film’s subject: "It was one of the most difficult things I ever did, my hands were shaking the whole time I was filming."
Hit singer Christina Aguilera is planning to raise her new son Max Liron on the road, because she refuses to let her new status as a mom from preventing her from going back to work. The sexy star and her music executive husband Jordan Bratman welcomed Max last month, but the singer is already eager to get back into the studio and start recording new tracks for her next album. And the 27-year-old won’t think twice about taking little Max out on tour with her. She says, "We’re going to be a travelling family. Max was with me in my belly for the last tour and he’ll be out riding on the tour bus for the next tour." Aguilera has also refused to let her son disrupt her married life with Bratman, so the couple will be continuing their unique tradition of stripping off while enjoying weekends at home. She adds, "As for those cozy naked Sundays… It’s important for Jordan and me not to lose ourselves. Of course, having a child requires a lot of time and attention. But we think it’s really important to still have mommy and daddy time. It’s something that you have to make time for."
Rolling Stone singer Mick Jagger is adding his support to a campaign to give British comedian Ken Dodd a knighthood. The singing icon is believed to have joined a number of other United Kingdom celebrities and signed the online petition in a bid to urge British prime minister Gordon Brown to include the 80 year old funnyman on his list of recommended honorees for Queen Elizabeth II in 2009. And organizer Bob Pitt is convinced Jagger’s signature is genuine, because advanced Internet software had confirmed the entry came from his Surrey, England, home. He says, "It (the petition)’s been a massive success, with 2,500-odd signatures so far. We’re targeting the New Year’s Honors List…"It was such a good sight seeing the signature of Sir Mick Jagger on the website."
Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey is expressing his joy at the prospect of his impending fatherhood and is very happy with the relationship the way it is. His friend told OK! magazine: "Matthew is getting used to the idea that he’s going to be a father. He says that’s enough to deal with right now. He has no plans to walk down the aisle with Camila now or ever." However, Matthew’s disinterest in marriage has disappointed the 24 year old Camila, her mother and Matthew’s 77 year-old mother Kay. A friend of the model said: "Camila comes from a very strict Catholic background. And Matthew’s family is very traditional too. Everyone, apart from Matthew, feels a wedding is in order." It has also been revealed the couple, who will become parents this summer, are expecting a baby boy, after the ultrasound operator accidentally revealed the sex of the baby. After announcing the happy news last month, Matthew wrote on his official website: ‘My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together. We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child.’
Peta has come out with their worst dressed list, calling Eva Longoria a Street Walker and Kate Moss a super tramp. The animal rights group also ripped apart singers Aretha Franklin, who they called the Biggest Loser and Kylie Minogue as well as Marilyn Manson and Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan for wearing fur and leather. On ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva, PETA said: ‘Eva Longoria is short on compassion. In her trashy furs, she looks like the streetwalker of Wisteria Lane. Eva is one ‘Desperate Housewife’ in need of a quickie divorce, from her stylist.’ Talking about Cocaine Kate Moss, PETA added: ‘Nothing completes the transition from supermodel to super tramp like a fur coat. If Kate could see clearly through those bleary eyes, maybe she would clear her closet of those furs.’ Lindsay was branded a ‘mean girl’ for wearing fox fur, while Aretha was told to have some ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T for animals’. Pop singer Kylie Minogue was blasted for her penchant for python-skin bags. The campaign group said: ‘What does Kylie Minogue have in common with her python purse? They are both cold-blooded. Come on Kylie, it’s not cool to clutch an accessory made by nailing snakes to a tree and skinning them alive.’ Previous winners of the Worst Dressed title include Paris Hilton, Kimberly Stewart and Nicole Richie.
Sexy Hollywood star Nicole Kidman who is expecting her first child with hubby Keith Urban, wants to work on movies that her whole family can enjoy together. She said: "A lot of the films that I have made are adult films. I think once you have children, you want to balance the work you do. Occasionally you want to make films that they can take their friends to, that they can go to the premiere of, that they can celebrate.’ Nicole wants to test her acting skills by appearing in movies which appeal to the younger generation. She added: ‘My kids are both teenagers so they have both seen ‘The Golden Compass’, and they loved it! But my child inside won’t see the film for a long time! ‘I think it would be good to do more films for teenagers. It’s fun, and it requires different skills from me.’
Mental Britney Spears lawyers failed to get a news blackout on the troubled star’s child custody battle on Today. Attorney Anne Kiley argued a gag order is necessary because the media coverage of Spears’ fight with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their two children is "emotionally and physically" dangerous for the singer. But Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Scott Gordon declined Kiley’s request for a ban on attorneys discussing the case with reporters. Gordon did however acknowledge Kiley’s concern about the wild paparazzi attention Spears receives wherever she goes. He said, "The concern really is the conduct of the photographers. That’s a law enforcement issue and an issue for the kind gentlemen and ladies of the press to deal with appropriately. "The concern you have is a real one. But it should be dealt with without infringing on the First Amendment." Neither Spears nor Federline were in court for the hearing.
Ozzy Osbourne's wild wife Sharon is threating to throw bitch Heather Mills off the stage if she turns up at the Brit Awards tomorrow night. Osbourne and rocker husband Ozzy are hosting the annual music awards in London England. And Osbourne says Sir Paul McCartney’s estranged wife won’t be welcome at the event. She says, "I would boot her off. I think she’s a miserable old cow." McCartney will receive a Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony.
Rehab singer Amy Winehouse has been offered help by many celebrity friends while she battles her drug problems. The sultry singer checked into a rehab clinic in London last month only after a video showing the star allegedly taking drugs was passed on to the British newspaper The Sun. Many offers of help to keep Winehouse healthy have been flooding in from celebrity friends including Sharon Osbourne, who spent years helping her rocker husband Ozzy battle his many drug addictions. Jude Law’s ex-wife Sadie Frost and The Who's lead singer Roger Daltrey have also visited and called the troubled star after she emerged from rehab. The singer’s father Mitch Winehouse says, "He (Daltrey) phoned and we talked about his experiences of drug addiction in his family. It’s great knowing people care."
Sexy star Jamie Bell regrets that his Hollywood success he has had, killed his chances of romance.The actor split from his girlfriend of two years, actress Evan Rachel Wood, in the summer of 2007, after the pressures of work forced them to break up. Hollywood star Minnie Driver is sparking rumors she is expecting her first child after she was photographed leaving a Los Angeles California clinic. The Good Will Hunting star was spotted outside looking at sonograms with a friend. According to New York gossip column Page Six, Driver called her boyfriend, Matthew, in England and talked about "getting bloodwork done".A source tells the publication she told her pal, "Matthew says I should be quiet so no one hears me." A spokesman for Driver has refused to comment.
Hollywood star Jamie Foxx is denying reports he is unhappy with the ongoing production of his new reality series FROM Gs TO GENTS. The award winning actor reportedly wanted to part ways with the MTV show after a member of staff claimed they were removing Foxx’s name on press releases, according to the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix. But a spokesperson says the claims are false, adding, "Nobody was told to not use his name."
Hollywood star Ted Danson is calling for better practices to protect the world’s oceans from over fishing and contamination. Danson, who played bartender Sam Malone on hit Telivision show Cheers, is a member of the lobby group Oceana, and he wants more to be done to protect the sea.The actor founded the American Oceans Campaign in 1987 to bring national attention to environmental issues. The group later merged with Oceana to bring the cause to a global level. He says, "This is not about saving fish from the goodness of our hearts or taking care of our oceans because we want to be thought of as environmental. It is economic. It is moral, and it is public health. "I guess it’s really tough to get people to focus on this great big, beautiful, gorgeous ocean."
Beatle Paul McCartney's bitter divorce battle with Heather Mills will continue into next week after the fighting couple failed to reach any agreement. Mills, who is representing herself in the court case at London’s High Court, could reportedly walk away with $120 million of the singers estimated $1.65 billion fortune. Officials have confirmed Court 34 has been booked for the case to continue on Monday morning. It’s likely the judge will decide at some point next week whether enough has been said to draw the hearing to a close.
The first preview of the new Indiana Jones movie 'The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull' has won critical acclaim and only days after it was released online. A trailer for the fourth outing for the archeologist, which shows clips of the first three films before cutting to star Harrison Ford swinging his bullwhip, has garnered praise from film fans across the world. One blogger writes, "As soon as the John Williams’ Raiders overture kicks in, you cannot suppress a nostalgic smile. Aside from bits of obvious CGI trickery, the trailer is nearly a note-perfect recreation of Indy’s past adventures." Fans have also praised Harrison Ford’s return as Indiana Jones and are insisting the 65 year old’s age makes no difference to the role he last played 18 years ago. The movie is slated for a next May.
Country superstar Keith Urban is going green on his upcoming tour by running his tour buses on bio-diesel fuel and offering his fans a chance to buy T-shirts made from recycled plastic bottles.The singer, who is married to Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, has teamed up with environmental T-shirt firm Chaser Merchandise to make sure the gear he’s offering fans is as green as possible.He says, "While I am far from the greenest guy on the block, I do look for situations where I can make even a small difference. "And so the idea that our concert tees could retain the same look and feel, but be partly made from recycled materials appealed greatly to me."
Singer Lenny Kravitz has been admitted to a hospital in Florida suffering from very severe bronchitis. The musician was taken to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, Florida on early today after contracting the illness, which causes inflammation of the lungs.Kravitz has suffered a series of severe respiratory tract infections since contracting the influenza virus last month. A statement from the star’s spokeswoman reads, "Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital. He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment." Although details on his condition and the expected length of his stay have not been released, the illness has forced the rocker to postpone a scheduled trip to Europe to promote his new album, It Is A Time For Revolution, which was released last week.
Rock icon Gene Simmons turned TV reporter for the television show Extra, and interviewed his ex-girlfriend Cher. The Kiss singer became a special correspondent for news show Extra when producers wanted an interesting twist to a cute Cher interview. The two old friends chatted about Cher’s upcoming Las Vegas residency, her beauty tips and political leanings, but the interview quickly turned very saucy. When Simmons asked her about her love life, Cher revealed, she dated three men at the same time "not so long ago," explaining how she juggled them all. She smiled, "One, one day. One, one day, and one, one day… It was the second time I ever did it my entire life." Cher also came clean about her drug use, telling the rock legend, "I smoked pot, like, five times in the `70s because I wanted to be cool, but it made me sick so I didn’t do it again." And she insisted she was never tempted to try harder drugs: "It scared me. I never saw drugs do anything good for anyone. I just saw drugs bring everyone down."
Hispanic Rosario Dawson is leading a huge campaign to get Hispanic Americans to vote in the next presidential election. The Hollywood star is very proud of her Afro Cuban/Puerto Rican/American Indian Irish roots, but is frustrated that fewer than one third of the huge Hispanic population votes in the elections. She has co-founded a group called Voto Latino, which seeks to help those eligible to vote make it to polls on voting day. She tells Glamour magazine, "This is such an important election. We’re trying to tell people, ‘Listen, you have rights.’" Dawson, 28, isn’t a stranger to campaigning. As a little girl, she marched with her mother in New York City. She adds, "My mom was politically active. We walked in Al Sharpton parades back when he still wore sweatpants."
Kate Hudson has had a lifelong dream to skydive, but insists motherhood has kept her from pursuing the extreme and dangerous sport. The Hollywood star has wanted to parachute for so long, but canned her daredevil fantasies after becoming a mother to son Ryder, because she feared she may be seriously injured. She says, "Jumping out of a plane seems exhilarating. "But when you become a parent, you don’t want to be jumping out of planes any more."
Federal officials are launching an investigation in a bid to discover how a Hollywood star Heath Ledger was able to get all the prescription drugs that caused his death last month. On Wednesday, the New York City Medical Examiner ruled the star died from an accidental overdose of six prescription medications, including painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety pills and antihistamines. A statement from the Medical Examiner reads: "Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine. "We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications." Officials at the Drug Enforcement Agency have teamed up with police to find out how Ledger managed to obtain all his prescription drugs. DEA spokesman Erin Mulvey says, "We are working with the NYPD to identify any illegally prescribed drugs that may have been prescribed to Ledger."Ledger, who was only 28 when he died, is to be buried at his family's plot in Karrakatta Cemetery in his native Perth, Australia on Saturday.
Brad Pitt and sexy wife Angelina Jolie rushed to the rescue of an eight year old boy crushed by autograph hunters at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Seth Mascareno was trapped by a huge crowd of fans as the couple arrived at the California event, where Jolie was honored with the Performance Of The Year award. The Hollywood couple spotted the kid squashed against a metal railing and helped lift him to safety. The boy’s mother Adeline says, "The crush of people was just overwhelming. Angelina and Brad rushed over and she helped pull Seth under the barricade while Brad yelled for the crowd to back up. "Then Angelina took Seth aside to make sure he was unharmed. When she was sure he was all right, she signed a Tomb Raider photo he was carrying. She stroked Seth’s hair and said: ‘There, there sweetheart, you’re OK now.’"
Toxic Britney Spears' longtime friend Sam Lutfi has given up trying to work through the troubled star's problems with her parents Jamie and Lynn Spears, because he has "no more respect for the family."Spears' estranged parents and Lutfi were reported to have joined forces to have the singer admitted to Los Angeles' UCLA Medical Center on Thursday morning, where she was placed on 72-hour psychiatric hold. But Lutfi is now claiming Britney's parents are more concerned with money and their image than their daughter's well being, branding them "incapable of telling the truth and incapable of sympathizing."In an exclusive interview with E! News, which will aired on Friday night, he insists he has "a moral obligation" to protect the 26-year-old like he would with any of his three sisters.He also maintains he has never been paid by Spears and "never accepted money from the media" for tip offs about the star's whereabouts. And Lutfi explains his constant presence beside the singer is due to her desperate requests: "You meet her and she cries, and she begs (you) not to turn on her."
