Rapper Fifty Cent is "eager" to discover the authorities' findings surrounding the fire that engulfed his Long Island New York home and endangered his son and ex-girlfriend.The estate, which is owned by Fifty Cent and occupied by former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son, Marquise, was engulfed in a fire that New York police have called "highly suspicious." The fire occurred this morning. The home has been at the center of a bitter court battle between the singer and Tompkins since last month's ruling that she and Marquise must leave the rapper's mansion by the end of 2008. The rapper is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely."He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings."And Tompkins, who split from the rapper in 2003, has fueled reports a vengeful party is to blame after revealing she heard "someone" come into the house at 4 a.m., an hour prior to the incident. Police have sent dogs to search the rubble for a substance that may have been used as an igniter.The "In Da Club" hitmaker is not being treated as a suspect, reports TMZ.com.

NAOMI CAMPBELL CHARGED FOR ASSAULT

Bitch on wheels Naomi Campbell has been charged with assaulting two police officers in relation to an incident on a British Airways plane last month. The former supermodel, was arrested at London’s Heathrow airport in April, following a dispute over her baggage, which was lost in the airport’s recent Terminal 5 luggage handling fiasco. Campbell reported to Heathrow police station today, where she faced a total of five charges, including three counts of assaulting a constable, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of using abusive language to the airplane crew. Police confirmed the assault charge was related to her actions toward the two officers. Naomi was bailed out and is to re-appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court in west London on June 20th. Campbell’s lawyer, Simon Nicholls, says, "Miss Campbell is bitterly disappointed that the prosecutors have advised her she is to be prosecuted for various offences."Prosecutors in this case have decided she needs to be prosecuted in the magistrates court. She respects that decision and she hopes this matter is dealt with expeditiously." It is not the first time Campbell has found herself in trouble with the law over her very nasty temper. Last year she was sentenced to community service at New York City's sanitation department after she was convicted of assaulting her maid with her cell phone.

KELLY ROWLAND STOPS HER SHOW

Singing star Kelly Rowland had her performance at the Great American Gay Day 2008 rudely interrupted on Friday, when she narrowly missed being hit by a fan’s hat. The songstress was midway through her set at the Californian event when one fan threw their white hat at the stage - almost hitting Rowland in the face. The backing music came to halt as she called out to the crowd to identify the assailant, before making him apologize for his actions. In video footage obtained by TMZ she can be heard saying: "Who threw that up here? Come to the front, come to the front." The fan quickly apologized and Rowland handed back the flying headwear before resuming her performance.

Documentary film maker Michael Moore has landed a big boost for his Traverse City Film Festival in Michigan. Pop icon Madonna is coming to it. The singers I am Because We Are documentary, about Aids orphans in Malawi, will headline the alternative film festival next August, And the Material Girl will be there in person. Happy Moore says, "Madonna will present the film, watch it with the audience and conduct a question-and-answer session afterwards. "It’s a huge coup for the Film Festival, and for Traverse City." And the film maker, who has taken the United States medical profession and President George W. Bush to task in his films, has nothing but praise for Madonna’s new release, which recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
He adds, "She spent the past couple of years filming what the people go through, and the efforts to help them. I saw the film about a month ago. It’s a fantastic, powerful movie." Madonna produced and narrated the documentary after travelling to Malawi, where she met her adopted baby David Banda.

A British paparazzi who was found guilty of assaulting bitch Heather Mills has had his conviction overturned, because the former model was "too stressed" to attend his appeal hearing. Jay Kaycappa was sentenced to 140 hours community service for grabbing Mills' shoulder as he attempted to take her photo in a Brighton, England, subway in July 2006. The 32-year-old snapper was handed the community punishment order at Brighton Magistrates Court last August. But the conviction has now been quashed after the court heard that Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife was too stressed to attend his appeal hearing. Lewes Crown Court heard that Mills was "refusing to give evidence," with prosecutors adding, "We don't know where she is." The court was then shown a doctor's report claiming Mills was suffering from stress. The judge allowed the appeal and overturned Kaycappa's sentence.

McDermott filed a petition for dissolution of marriage in Superior Court last Friday citing irreconcilable differences, according to court records first obtained by CelebTV.com. McDermott, the former star of TV's "The Practice," and Rose, an actress, have two daughters together.They separated more than a year ago, according to court documents. The company will, on her behalf, control the sale of ticket packages for the European leg of her Sticky & Sweet tour - the first time an artist has explored such a partnership. Ticket packages, which often including travel, accommodation and/or VIP seats, are more commonly issued through outside companies with no connection to the artist or band in question.

Television star Sarah jessica Parker feels like New York City's "town trollop" because of the chaos caused by the huge amount of paparazzi photographers who follow her every day in the West Village. The actress claims "thuggish" photographers have made a damaging and lasting impact on the lives of her family, and everyone they come into contact with. She insists the celebrity snappers have descended on her five-year-old son James Wilkie’s school, leaving her embarrassed to face other parents. She even claims James, her son with actor husband Matthew Broderick, now covers his face when posing for family photos. Parker tells New York magazine, "(It’s a) culture of thuggery. "I feel very ashamed. I feel like I’m, like, the town trollop. It makes me feel ashamed of my work. And I’m not. But I’m attached to this culture now in a way that it’s kind of vulgar. "And I feel cheapened. And I feel like I’m cheapening the school, like I’m bringing dirt; like I’m bad for the neighborhood."

MADONNA'S HARD CANDY STOLEN

Promotional life-size cardboard cut-outs of Material Girl Madonna is starting a thieving spree across Hong Kong by fans of the star, according to reports. The two dimensional replicas of the singer advertising her 11th studio album Hard Candy, which was released last week, are disappearing from record stores all over the country. Ten of the 30 displays in Hong Kong have been stolen over the past week, but Madonna’s record company Warner insists it will not raise the matter with local police. Kevin Wong, vice president of Warner Music Asia says, "We have had people ripping off posters before, but stealing cut-outs certainly takes some guts."

JESSICA SIMPSON WANTS FIGURE BACK

Fat Jessica Simpson wants to get back into Dukes Of Hazzard bikini shape again, and so she’s using film stills and photos to encourage her to lose weight. The singer insists it was "gutsy" of her to play sexy Daisy Duke in the 2005 film, because so much of her body was on show for everyone to see.But she has since realized her buff body gave weight watchers something to aim for, and so now she uses her Duke look for inspiration. She explains, "So many girls take a picture of me in that bikini and say to their trainers, ‘I want to look like that.’ "I’m doing that to my trainer now. I say, ‘I want to look like that.’"

The girl who appeared on the cover of Bob Dylan's famous Freewheelin album is penning a book about her romance with the rock legend. Suze Rotolo huddles up to Dylan as the pair wander through the wintry streets of 1963 Greenwich Village in New York City in the famous cover shot.And, after years of keeping her identity a secret, the activist, who was 17 when the photo was taken, is now coming forward with her memoirs. A Freewheelin’ Time: A Memoir of Greenwich Village in the Sixties will feature Rotolo’s recollections from her time as Dylan’s girlfriend, introducing him to poetry and civil rights. In the book, she explains the couple split when she could no longer cope with the fact her boyfriend was becoming more and more famous.

He says, "Simon’s first port of call is his portable mirror that he takes with him all the time. "He has his own make-up artist, Julia, who travels with him wherever he goes. No one else can get his orange tint right." Mulhern also confirmed there is a "genuine animosity" between Cowell and co-star Piers Morgan, saying, "I worry that it could come to fisticuffs."

COUNTRY SINGER KENNY CHESNEY BACK

Country singing star Kenny Chesney "felt great" and has resumed his tour on Thursday after he injured his foot in an onstage accident. Chesney shattered tendons in his foot during a concert in South Carolina last week on machinery that lifted him up up to the stage. After receiving medical treatment, the 40-year-old returned to the stage at Austin's Frank Erwin Center, Texas, to continue his Poets and Pirates tour. He tells People.com, "I had eight shots in my foot (to deaden the pain) and I wasn't sure how it was going to feel."I gotta tell you, once I hit that stage, it felt great."Chesney didn't break any bones because his foot had been protected by his trademark cowboy boots also admits he was happy to continue with his performance despite the injury.He adds, "It happened so fast, I was pretty much in shock during the first two or three songs."I didn't know what was wrong. The singing star will receive the Chevalier dans L’ordre des Arts et Lettres from the French government at a ceremony in Paris on May 5th, the day before her world tour, KYLIEX2008, opens in the capital. She says, "I am deeply honored to be recognized in this way. JENNIFER LOPEZ LAWSUIT THROWN OUT

A New York City Judge has dismissed a lawsuit against pop singer Jennifer Lopez from a writer who accused the star of stealing his idea for a television series. Jack Bunick filed suit at the U.S. District Court in Manhattan claiming 2006 drama series South Beach, which was executive produced by the star, was too similar to the plot of a pilot episode he wrote in 1999 for a program called South Beach Miami. Bunick named Lopez, United Paramount Network (UPN) and CBS Television in the suit.But Judge Richard Berman tossed the lawsuit out of court on yesterday declaring there to be adequate evidence to take the case to trial.The judge also noted that there was "powerful evidence" that the defendants had created the series independently. Papers filed by Lopez’s lawyers claimed that although the star was an executive producer, she was barely involved in the development and was only brought in at a later stage to "lend celebrity to the show." The show was cancelled after just eight episodes following poor reviews and low viewing figures.

However, the company claims its New York City premiere will be just as spectacular as the London opening with a huge party at the famous Radio City Music Hall on May 27th. A spokesperson for the film company tells the New York Daily News, "It was simply a question of logistics and scheduling. We're still planning the big premiere to be in New York."Everyone knows New York City is the fifth character. The city is the epicenter of all things 'Sex and the City.'"
